With the move to shift to a flexible mode of delivering instruction to address the COVID-19 pandemic, relevant upskilling programs should be provided to the different sectors of higher education institutions. Thus, the UP Open University, in collaboration with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) conducted the training program entitled “Gearing up for the Next Normal: Training of Teachers on Flexible Learning”. This initiative aimed to integrate the online component into the teaching and learning environment not only in terms of using the available open educational resources (OERs) to improve instructional content, but also to teach and learn other important knowledge and skills like multimedia literacy. This training program hoped to enable the participants to develop a Teacher-Training Program by equipping them to be lead trainers in their respective institutions.
