Dr. Ayda Gan Nambayan is an independent consultant for Advanced Oncology Education and Training in various health care institutions and Schools of Nursing in the Philippines. Her area of interest is centered on empowerment of nurses through education and self-care.
Dr. Nambayan, who is also a registered nurse, has served as faculty member of the University of Alabama at Birmingham and as a curriculum specialist for the International Outreach Program at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Dr. Nambayan is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), the Philippine Oncology Nurses Association, the Asian Oncology Nursing Society and the Asia Pacific Hospice and Palliative Care Network.
The Oncology Nursing Society has given Dr. Nambayan two distinctions — the Pearl Moore Making-A-Difference in 2008 and the Pearl Moore International Award for Contribution in Cancer Care in 2012.
