Prof. Luna Sicat-Cleto

Luna Sicat-Cleto is a writer and professor at the Department of Filipino and Philippine Literature in the University of the Philippines, Diliman. She has garnered several literary awards for her works including the Carlos Palanca Memorial Award for her short stories, poems, essays, and stories for children; Madrigal Prize for Best First Book for “Makinilyang Altar”; and the Gawad CCP para sa Panitikan for her one-act play, “Maternal.”

In 2012, She was part of the Erasmus Mundi Mobility Exchange Programme at the Universita di Genoa, Italy, of which she has written a piece entitled, “Finding Genoa, Finding Myself: Pag-aapuhap sa Genoa, Pag-aapuhap sa Sarili,” published by Humanities Diliman
