Dr. Amihan Bonifacio-Ramolete at a tender age has been thrust to the world of theater and puppetry. She continues to promote the importance of creative expression and learning through theater and puppetry. Bonifacio-Ramolete was the chairperson of the Department of Speech Communication and Theater Arts and managing director of Dulaan Unibersidad ng Pilipinas. She is also a company manager and senior puppeteer of Teatrong Mulat ng Pilipinas. She has been the recipient of prestigious awards anmely the UPAA Distinguished Alumna in Culture and the Arts (2014), Natatanging Guro Award Chanselor (2014), UP Arts Productivity Award (2013) and the Outstanding Women in the Nation’s Service (TOWNS) Award for Theater Arts (2013). A proud UP Diliman Alumna.

She has a degree in Psychology (BA/1989, MA/2009, Ph.D./2013) and Theater Arts (MA/1996). She is an Associate Professor who handles undergraduate and graduate communication and theater classes.
