Dr. Carla Dimalanta
Dr. CARLA B. DIMALANTA is Professor 10 at the National Institute of Geological Science of the University of the Philippines Diliman. She completed her Doctorate of Science in Earth and Planetary Sciences at the University of Tokyo, while she attained her M.Sc Geology (1992) and B.Sc. Geology (1984) at the University of the Philippines in Diliman.
She was a recipient of numerous scholarly awards including University Scientist III, Outstanding Young Scientist (Geology) from National Academy of Science and Technology (2003), National Research Council of the Philippines Achievement Award (Earth Sciences) in 2006, and the Gawad Chanselor para sa Natatanging Guro (Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Teacher) in 2010.
