A Case for Art: How Can Artists Help with the Climate Crisis | Mr. Ralph Daniel C. Lumbres

As part of the Climate Solutions Series, Mr. Ralph Daniel C. Lumbres shares how artists can help initiate climate action. Ralph Lumbres is an interdisciplinary artist. Lumbres argues that art is a powerful way to change the mindset of people to convince, to communicate and lead to behavior change. He shares his previous experiences in art projects or programs such as HANDs! Project, PRODJX Artist Community, and Art for Resilience Communities (ARC). Also, he expresses that being an artist is being expanded in new ways, especially in practicing art. Lastly, Lumbres challenges institutions, organizations and the academe to “create more spaces for interdisciplinary collaborations.”
